ABOUT SPIRIT DIARIES

Birdie grew up with the innate ability to connect to verifiable and factual information that she had no way of knowing. Seven miles away, Robert was raised in a house that was active with unexplained activity. Birdie felt like she grew up terrorized by the eerie activity in her life and attempted to ignore the unexplained phenomena that surrounded her, while Robert and his family actively investigated theirs.

Then, in 2017 Birdie embraced her abilities and began working on private cases of other families experiencing unexplained activity.

In 2020 Birdie began the Spirit Diaries podcast where she recounts stories of discovering her connection to the paranormal, the realities of living with mediumship, and the hardships, fear, and exclusion from society that came with it.

In 2022, Birdie and Robert joined forces to create a paranormal documentary series focused on recording unexplained phenomena while documenting the human connection to the paranormal. Their series was self-funded and documented with old DSLR cameras, GoPros, and their cell phones. They traveled to six claimed haunted locations to test Birdie’s abilities over the course of six days.

Birdie and Robert spent hundreds of hours learning how to film, edit, and spent countless hours reviewing their footage to release season one. While they didn’t begin as seasoned filmmakers we wanted to attempt to capture some of the strange and uncanny experiences we’ve had. To their surprise, the web series took home multiple wins on the paranormal indie film market in 2023.

The team has been offered mainstream deals to relinquish their rights to Spirit Diaries in exchange for developing it into a traditional paranormal television show, giving both Birdie and Robert a starring role. They’ve realized that being independent and the directors of their narrative provides them with a unique opportunity to provide a raw look into mediumship that would stay true to real experiences and factual history without falling into the trap of becoming a show purely designed for entertainment over research. While we are always open to developments that allow us to keep creative freedom, for now, we see the best place for Spirit Diaries is being self-produced in the indie space.

SUPPORTING SPIRIT DIARIES

Our number one goal was to get our web series and podcast episodes to you. As people who wished to connect with paranormal professionals as a children, we want to be as open and connected to you as we possibly can be and provide as much content as we can for free.

It took this project hundreds of hours, accumulating to many months of no sleep pushing 100 hour work weeks to reach completion. Any bit of help, even telling a friend about our project, goes a long way for us.

At this time, our series has never been monetized with YouTube ad revenue. Our entire first season was self-funded because we believe in our project and our work. If you do want to help this series grow, we have a Patreon page where all the pledges are directly reinvested into our work. We feel this is the best way to continue to grow our series and we greatly appreciate any and all support you are willing to give. In addition we share all of our extended film footage on Patreon as a thank you for your support. In these extended clips you can see behind the scenes of our investigations and portions that were cut for the final episodes. We love sharing everything with you including our raw captures of phenomena.
